Latrobe Valley Enterprises take delivery of a Reform Metrac H5 X
Latrobe Valley Enterprises (LVE) is a not for profit company with a network of commercially viable businesses that provides employment opportunities for people disadvantaged by disability.
LVE removes barriers to employment by empowering people to develop real work skills that will enable them to productively contribute to the economic and social vitality of the general community.
A significant part of LVE’s business is the Grounds Maintenance division. High-profile businesses in the Gippsland Region turn to LVE and Leon Robinson (the Grounds Maintenance team leader), for their mowing requirements. Of this work, a large part of it consists of hilly, uneven terrain that conventional tractors are simply too unsafe to operate on.
Working closely with Stocker-Crew, LVE were able to identify a machine to suit their very specific grounds care needs.
The Reform Metrac H5 X, coupled with a front-mounted Noremat Bravia 2000 flail mower was chosen for its tremendous hillside ability, low centre of gravity and all-terrain 4WD stability. With 4 wheel steering modes including crab, circle and front/rear steer, it was the only machine that LVE considered capable and safe enough to operate on some of the steep, undulating grounds they are required to maintain.
